This week’s Drag Race video features a 4th generation Pontiac Firebird packing an LS1 V8 racing against a late model Dodge Ram 2500. While you would think right away that an LS1 Firebird would thrash a heavy duty Dodge truck, this diesel powered Ram pickup definitely appears to have a little work done.
This week’s Mudfest video features a heavily modified Ford F-250 from the 1970s in action at a mud bog competition. This exhibition of mud slinging takes place at the Geneva Road Mud Bog near St Louis, Missouri. A huge crowd watches this classic F-250 pickup making short work of the deep, thick mud as it storms from one bank to the other – only to turn around and tackle the mud bog with just as much ease in the other direction.
I know this is probably going to upset a few people, but I think this custom C7 done by Kiss' Paul Stanley that was shown at SEMA should have never been done.
This year's SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada was pretty awesome for a trade show. Where else can you find thousands of specialty parts for your cars and trucks all under one roof? There were literally tons of killer rides on display and lots of people trying to sell you stuff you don't need.
The new 991 GT3 is an excellent car. It’s unbelievably fast, it handles like a dream, and no longer has the tendency for self-immolation. Thankfully. Now though, it has earned even more praise from Road & Track who named the new Porsche its "Performance Car of the Year."
This video is enough to make any fan of high-performance, rear wheel drive vehicles smile. After all, we all love the sounds of a loud and proud engine, and the whine of a Prius certainly doesn't qualify.
Completing a build is sometimes relatively uncomplicated and easy. Everything falls into place perfectly and you find yourself smiling at the end, glad that you tackled the goal and brought a Ford back to life. Things just go right. Well, for Ford truck enthusiast Bootlegger's Deluxe things just haven't seem to go that way with his 1989 F-150 build.
