Remember that Autoweek poll that gauged whether people think the Corvettes damaged from the sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum should be left unrestored? Well, the results are in, and more than 50 percent of the folks who voted in Autoweek's survey believed at least one of the cars should be preserved in its current state as a reminder of the catastrophe. It looks like the Corvette Racing team has a few kinks to work out with the new C7.R. After rolling into the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring with high hopes of capturing a win, the team’s two C7.R cars ended up finishing sixth and eighth for the second round of the endurance race. At one point, the No. 4 Corvette C7.R led the race before two late spins and engine issues.
